Keita Sagaki
西洋名画や浮世絵など一度は目にしたことのあるイメージを無数のキャラクターのドローイングを集積することで再現する。
幼少期に体験した曼荼羅の影響から、生と死、聖と俗、秩序と混沌など二項対立の概念を画面上に共存させることで、両者の関係性のボーダレス化を試みる。
By accumulating drawings of innumerable manga-ish characters, Sagaki reproduces a masterpiece of painting from Western art or Ukiyo-e. From the influence of mandala the artist encountered in childhood, Sagaki coexists the binary oppositions such as life and death, sacred and profane, order and chaos, and attempt to make the relationship between the two borderless.
